Reviewed: Pactimo Ascent Air 2.0 women’s jersey
The super-breathable Ascent Air 2.0 has a slim fit that forms nicely around the body without feeling restrictive. The jersey’s side and back panels are made from mesh-like material that increases airflow and kept us cool and dry on hotter rides. The front and the arm panels are made with Pactimo’s “Speedskin” material for claimed aerodynamic benefits.
We would have liked to see longer, more form-fitted sleeves on such a race-inspired jersey. When pairing the Ascent Air 2.0 with arm warmers this spring, a small gap between the warmer and jersey would quickly form for a very un-racer-like look and a chilly breeze up our sleeves.
But the jersey’s race radio or phone opening in the rear pocket paired with the earbud loop in the collar keeps your audio game on without wires flapping in the wind outside of your jersey. There’s also plenty of room for a jacket, vest, or mid-ride snacks in the three full-sized rear pockets, which helped keep everything neatly tucked away.
The Ascent Air 2.0’s fabric sports UPF+15 protection and it wicks moisture, making it a great option for summer days. Plus, we love the four different color options including a hi-vis green, bright red, cool blue, and classic white. All look great in person and include reflective details for added safety.
