134 kilometers

Stage 20 is the final mountain stage before the procession into Torino. Did Giro organizers RCS Sport save the best for last? Accumulating more than 13,000 feet of elevation gain in just 134 kilometers (83 miles), the route spends most of its time in France, taking in the Col de Vars and the 2,715-meter Col de la Bonette, before tackling the 21.2-kilometer, seven-percent gradient of the Colle della Lombarda to the Italian border. The route then plunges downhill for eight kilometers before a 2.3-kilometer kick back up to the line in Sant’Anna di Vinadio. The spiky profile warns of aggressive racing and action from start to finish.
