Preview: 2016 Giro d’Italia — Stage 11

Modena to Asolo

Wednesday, May 18

212 kilometers

Stage 11 remains flat for nearly its entire length before things get bumpy in the last 15 kilometers. The route runs across the Po Plain, starting in Modena (passing by some of the villages that were devastated by the 2012 earthquake), brushing past the Euganean Hills and reaching the short yet steep Forcella Mostaccin climb, with gradients up to 14 percent, after nearly 200 kilometers. The route then drops into Asolo and takes in a second sharp climb with just 3.5 kilometers remaining to the finish.
