Preview: 2016 Giro d’Italia — Stage 10
Campi Bisenzio to Sestola
Tuesday, May 17
216 kilometers
This Giro’s second summit finish comes on stage 10, a very difficult day with constant ups and downs across the Tuscan-Emilian Apen- nines. The route first tackles the Passo della Collina and Pietracolora climbs, followed by a succession of climbs and descents—Serramazzoni, Pavullo, and Polinago—leading to the stage finale. Here, the long Pian del Falco climb (featuring gradients as high as 10 percent over the last four kilometers) will be a test, ahead of a challenging descent into Fanano and a gradual climb to Sestola and the finish.
