Cadel Evans headlines early Colorado tour startlist

BOULDER, Colo, (VN) — Tour de France champion Cadel Evans and his fellow podium finishers Andy and Fränk Schleck will headline the inaugural USA Pro Cycling Challenge later this month. Organizers announced the BMC Racing and Leopard-Trek riders as part of the preliminary startlist Tuesday.

BOULDER, Colo, (VN) — Tour de France champion Cadel Evans and his fellow podium finishers Andy and Fränk Schleck will headline the inaugural USA Pro Cycling Challenge later this month. Organizers announced the BMC Racing and Leopard-Trek riders as part of the preliminary startlist Tuesday.

Also featuring in the Colorado tour’s first edition are Colorado residents Tom Danielson and Peter Stetina (Garmin-Cervélo), Tejay Van Garderen, Danny Pate and Caleb Fairly (HTC-Highroad), Timmy Duggan (Liquigas-Cannondale), Rory Sutherland (UnitedHealthcare) and Chris Baldwin and Frank Pipp (Bissell).

Other highlights of the early roster include fan favorite Jens Voigt (Leopard), former U.S. national champion George Hincapie (BMC) and Dutchman Robert Gesink (Rabobank).

The six-day USA Pro Cycling Challenge kicks off Monday August 22 with a prologue in Colorado Springs.
