U.S. POSTAL - BERRY FLOOR
LANCE IS KING Losing Roberto Heras to Liberty and adding former ONCE
rider José Azevedo has probably not altered the team’s Tour prospects. Armstrong
is still expected to win and he remains at the heart of everything that the team does
at the Tour. Don’t expect any stage wins — except from Le Boss. Support riders
George Hincapie, Manuel Beltran, and José Luis Rubiera will
again be the men that will allow Armstrong to reach the crucial stages with his
strength intact. The big question is whether they will have the power left to withstand
the increased number of attacks expected in the second and third weeks.
