BRIOCHES LA BOULANGÈRE
BELOKI OR NOT? The strategy of this middle-of-the-road French team
depends on the competitiveness of its new Spanish star, Joseba Beloki. Should
the three-time Tour podium finisher regain his strength by July, his teammates
will focus on doing a good team time trial and then protecting their leader
until the mountains. If Beloki is not ready then La Boulangère has a host of
potential stage winners in its aggressive French riders Didier Rous, Sylvain
Chavanel, Laurent Lefèvre, Jérôme Pineau and Thomas Voeckler.
