AG2R PRÉVOYANCE
STRONG IN THE SPRINTS Not having a GC contender, this French
team will focus on lesser goals. It has several possible stage winners, including
veteran riders Jaan Kirsipuu, 34, and Laurent Brochard, 36, but the focus will
be on its robust new sprinter Jean-Patrick Nazon, who won the ChampsÉlysées
stage at last year’s Tour. His lead-out men should include the two
team riders who came with him from Jean Delatour, Samuel Dumoulin and
Yuriy Krivtsov. Also look for AG2R to animate the flatter stages with riders like
Nicolas Portal, Ludovic Turpin and Andy Flickinger.
