Steve Frothingham

BACKGROUND: Frothingham came to VeloNews in 2008 from the Associated Press' Concord, New Hampshire, bureau, where for years he reported, wrote and edited articles about plane crashes, snowbound hikers, presidential politics and other disasters. In an earlier life he was managing editor of the trade magazine Bicycle Retailer & Industry News. He lined up for his first bike race (a BMX race) in 1980, and has raced on the road, mountain and cyclocross ever since at a consistently mediocre level.
