The first round of the Commerce Bank Triple Crown begins in Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania. Replacing the Lancaster event, the 85-mile course in Lehigh Valley will see the men face 12 laps of an undulating 7.1-mile circuit that snakes through downtown Allentown while earlier in the day an international field of professional women will race a 25-lap criterium. The men’s course is dotted with tough rollers, however the final mile and a half is flat and straight, which bodes well for fast finishers who can get over the big-ring rise located two and a half miles from the finish.
