Our latest reader-submitted PhotoGallery has been posted, along with a special year-endgallery, featuring contest winners from throughout 2006.
Of course,a new gallery also means the naming of the winner of ourmostrecent contest.
Take the time to wander through that gallery and seeif you agree or disagree with our choice of winners this week. This timearound, we found that Carl Viars’ “Harmony With Nature,” served as a beautiful reminder that, aside from walking, bikes are the most elegant, efficient and environmentally friendly form of transportation on the planet. This is not a scene that you'd want to imagine on a Hummer's tire, for example.
Congratulations Carl. Nice work. Please drop us a note at Rosters@InsideInc.comto work out the details and we’ll send you a copy of David Brinton's 2007LesHéros du Vélo calendar.

We finally picked a winner from the stellar batch of top photos from 2006. It wasn’t an easy task, but Darrell Parks’ shot of the peloton crossing Bixby Bridge during the debut Tour of California captured the beauty of the sport in one of this country’s most spectacular venues. We hope the weather holds for ’07! Drop us a line Darrell and we’ll arrange to send you signed prints of two of cycling’s greatest heroes: Eddy Merckx and Sean Kelly.
