Technical Q&A with Lennard Zinn - Of drivetrains, tires and pressure
Dear readers, I know that I promised to describe how to eliminate front brake shudder on a cyclocross bike in today’s column, but I only just got the parts today that I think will definitively eliminate it, and I didn’t have a chance to install them today, much ...

Technical Q&A with Lennard Zinn - Getting those 'cross tires on right
As promised, here’s the procedure for gluing a ’cross tubular tire so it won’t come off. Though it can still ruin your day, the downside of rolling a tubular in ’cross is generally not as big as in a criterium or on a winding mountain descent.

Technical Q&A: questions (and answers) on cyclocross flats, tire sealant and tubeless tires for ’cross racing
Next week I will talk about gluing tubulars to carbon rims, as I promised, but this week I want to address the huge influx of mail I got on flats on the Xilinx cyclocross course, sealant, and on tubeless ’cross tires. First, on the Xilinx flats I ...

Technical Q&A with Lennard Zinn - It's all about the tires

Tech guru Lennard Zinn tells how to remove a stuck seatpost. WARNING: Not for the faint of heart.
No adjustment Dear Lennard, I recently tried to adjust my saddle height on my Trek Fuel 98 and unfortunately found that it is no longer adjustable. I have an aluminum seatpost and the frame is carbon. I don't think I put any grease on it as I was told not to ...

Tech Update with Lennard Zinn - Nice rides for 2010
There were a number of special bikes that I saw at Interbike that I have still not had much opportunity to write about. So I’ll use this week’s column to do so.

More Interbike goodies from Lennard Zinn
It’s been three weeks since Interbike, but I still get questions asking what really caught my eye at this year’s show. There was plenty and, until now, there really hasn’t been space in the articles I’ve done on VeloNews.com and in the print version for all of it. ...

Technical Q&A with Lennard Zinn - Of sealant, socks and steerer tubes
Dear Lennard, My friend has a new Felt AR2 and on the weekend we went out for a long ride. Rain was on and off but never to the point where we were soaked. So today doing some after weekend maintenance, we noticed some water dripping out of the seatpost when turned upside down. ...

    What caught Lennard's eye?
Markus Storck has long wanted 2005 Ford Ironman Hawaii Triathlon World Champion Faris Al-Sultan to race on his bikes, and when the sale of Cannondale opened up the opportunity to put his fellow German on a Storck, he quickly got to work. Even while working on prototyping a new ...

Trying out new mountain bikes at Interbike’s Outdoor Demo
After a day of riding road bikes at the Interbike Outdoor Demo on Monday, I hit the dirt on Tuesday to check out some new innovations on the mountain bike side. The Santa Cruz Tallboy is big 29er news, as it is a completely carbon full suspension 29er with 100mm (four inches ...
