Team Type 1 is a first-year professional team that grew from the success of the 2007 RAAM championship team of the same name. The team objective is to draw attention to diabetes and the positive impact a healthy, active lifetyle can have in preventing the disease. Team T1 sponsors include Glucose monitor brands Apidra, Freestyle, Omnipod and Dex 4 — all diabetes care products.
