    Biography

The sprinter turned pro with Chocolade Jacques-Topsport in 2006 and rode with the continental Belgian team for three seasons, racking up three victories and a promising fifth in the 2008 Gent-Wevelgem.

He had joined Katusha for the 2009 campaign, but wasn’t happy with the Russian organization and wanted an early exit.

Silence-Lotto was more than happy to step in, offering to take over his contract starting July 1, 2009.

Dehaes will stay with the Belgian team for the 2010 season, with an option for 2011.
