Biography

Cavendish began cycling as a BMXer when he was 12. He eventually migrated to the velodrome, where he flourished. In 2005 he stepped onto the road racing circuit, winning a stage at the Tour of Berlin. In 2006 he joined the Sparkasse team before moving to T-Mobile in 2007.
