That long arm of the lawDear Velo,
At the risk of stirring up a hornet’s nest of opinions on the matterI interject my own. How far reaching is the grasp UCI that it can strong-arm other professional cyclist for merely riding with a suspended rider? (See "
Hamiltonquits Boulder race series after UCI, USAC threaten action")You have got to be kidding me. This is happening in the United States? And why would USA Cycling CEO Gerard Bisceglia buckle to such intimidationtactics? Pro cyclist need some serious representation if threats like thatcan be made and carried out toward their livelihoods. Why don’t we just exile Tyler to an island while we're at it?

The truth is out there, manEditor,
Regarding Tyler...I'll just bet you that's there's more to this Bouldersituation than the Tyler Hamilton Foundation or Chris Grealish have leton.

Speaking of TylerDear VeloNews,
Brilliantly done – having both sides of the Hamilton doping debateside by side, and filling in the missing pieces with the sidebar articles(see the current print issue of VeloNews). It made it all the more obvious that both “sides” deliberately leftout important facts and circumstances to bolster their position. But even with all that, it’s tough to see it in black and white – to clearlyidentify the heroes and villains. What a mess. But here’s aquestion I didn’t see addressed. What happens when Hamilton attempts a comeback? After all, histwo years are almost up. David Millar has paved the way for the prePro-Tour dopers, but he’s an admitted sinner looking for redemption – alwaysa great story. But with Tyler still out looking for a one-armed man,it’s hard to see the next chapter in his saga. Anything in your crystalball?
Sincerely,

Jacked Mac videoEditors,
In response to Mr. Campbell's complaint about the video not workingon his Mac, all I can say is that is must be limited to Canadian Macs,as I watched the outstanding coverage on mine here in Mississippi and greatlyappreciate it.

Ridgeland, MississippiActually Bill, we’ve heard from a lot of Mac users who have had theproblem and didn’t appreciate our recommended “fix” of running InternetExplorer. We’re working on a more elegant solution and will let folks knowas soon as it’s ready. -
