The evening includes a family-style Italian menu whiledining with US and European pro cyclists as dinner guests, a Silent Auction,a raffle of items totaling over $20,000 and an exclusive VIP after-dinnerparty in the fi’zi:k VIP lounge. Among the pro teams will be members fromTeam HealthNet presented by Maxxis, Navigator’s Insurance, Kodak Gallery-SierraNevada Pro Cycling Team Lampre-Caffita and others, still to be announced.Hosted by filmmaker Scott Coady who will present recent Phinney videoclips from the Tour de Georgia, this second annual event is rapidly becominga SF Grand Prix tradition. It is a rare opportunity to intermix with someof cycling’s most influential voices in the history and development ofthe sport in the US. Among the guests are MC Michael Aisner, the man behindthe Coors Classic - a cornerstone to the development of US cycling; formerUS Pro Champions Thomas Prehn and Kurt Stockton; three-time Olympian andPan Am Gold Medalist, Wayne Stetina.Two-time Tour de France stage winner, former US National Champion, andUS Olympic Bronze Medalist, Phinney, announced in 2000 that he’d been diagnosedwith ‘early onset’ Parkinson’s Disease. Shortly thereafter, Phinney establishedthe Davis Phinney Foundation to raise money for research and Parkinson’swellness.
