Team Diquigiovanni's Jose Serpa finished six seconds ahead of a group of 28 riders to win the fourth stage of the Tour de San Luis in Argentina Thursday.

Argentina's Alfredo Lucero retained the overall lead in the six-day race. Serpa moved up a place to fourth. American Tom Zirbel moved up a spot to sixth and Liquigas's Ivan Basso remains in eighth following the 159 km stage from San Luis to La Carolina.
