Sarah Hammer signs with the Hawk Relay team
Olympian Sarah Hammer will be riding for the newly established UCI professional cycling team, Hawk Relay Cycling in 2009.
The two-time world champion has signed a two-year contract with the team that will see her racing in domestic competitions, the Pan-American Championships, World Cups and World Championship events.
Hammer, 25 of Temecula, California, has won two world championships in the 3km pursuit as well as seven World Cup gold medals.
Besides Hammer, the team two-time U.S. Olympian Adam Duvendeck, three time National Champion Jimmy Watkins and Canadian national champion and Commonwealth Games medalist, Travis Smith.
Hawk Relay is telecommunications company whose mission is to provide deaf and hard of hearing people with the necessary tools to achieve full and equal telecommunications access.
