SportSouth has partnered with the Tour de Georgia presented by AT&T, a seven-stage U.S. professional cycling race, to televise a series of 30-minute daily recap shows during the 2008 Tour de Georgia, which runs from Monday, April 21 through Sunday, April 27. SportSouth’s coverage of the 2008 Tour de Georgia begins on Saturday, April 19 at 10:30 p.m. ET with a 30-minute race preview show featuring in-depth analysis of the course and cyclists. “The Tour de Georgia presented by AT&T has become an internationally famous spring tradition for cycling, and it is a valued sports property for the state,” Lt. Governor Casey Cagle said. “It has become a tune-up event for the Tour de France and it represents an excellent opportunity to bring the world to our state. What an incredible opportunity for FSN South and SportSouth to join in and televise this historic Georgia event.”
During the 2008 Tour de Georgia, a race that takes riders over 600 miles in seven days, SportSouth will televise seven 30-minute highlight shows recapping each day’s events, including wall-to-wall highlights, race reactions and interviews with select cyclists.
