Floyd Landis (Phonak), 3,502.6km, 85h42:30, 40.861kph – Landis erased a 30-second deficit to Oscar Peirero (Caisse d’Epargne) to grab the maillot jaune going into Sunday’s finale into Paris. Pereiro slipped to second while Kloden bumped onto the podium with Carlos Sastre (CSC) dropped to fourth. Australia riders Cadel Evans and Michael Rogers secured top 10s, with fifth and 10th respectively.

Green jersey
No major changes as Robbie McEwen (Davitamon-Lotto) will ride into Paris assured of his third green jersey. He leads former six-time green jersey winner Erik Zabel (Milram), 254-175.

King of the Mountains
Michael Rasmussen (Rabobank) will be crowned Sunday with his second consecutive polka-dot jersey, leading 163-131 points to Floyd Landis (Phonak).

Best Young Rider
Damiano Cunego (Lampre) surprised everyone with the time trial of his life with 10th to widen his advantage to Marcus Fothen (Gerolsteiner) to 36 seconds.

T-Mobile was best on the day and widens its hold on the overall team’s classification, 17:20 ahead of Team CSC.
