Leif Hoste, the veteran Belgian classics strongman, will be riding for Accent Jobs-Willems next season.

That’s according to a report in Het Nieuwsblad, which reports that the three-time Flanders runner-up will join the Belgian professional team in what’s a major step down.

Hoste, 34. had a year left on his contract with Katusha, but will leave at the end of this season. Hoste was linked to a return to Lotto-Belisol, his longtime home in Belgium, but has since settled on Accent Jobs-Willems.

Hoste crashed hard this season at the Three Days of De Panne and never regained his top form, with his only result of note being seventh at Dwars door Vlaanderen.

The presence of Hoste should help the Belgian outfit to get invites to some of the bigger spring classics, which remain Hoste’s main focus.

Others joining the team for 2012 include Andy Capelle (Quick Step) and Kevyn Ista (Cofidis). Returning riders include Jurgen Van Goolen, Stefan Van Dijk and Staf Scheirinckx.
