The US Cup Triple Crown All Mountain Pro Series will return for a second year with two of its three races running as national events.
March will kick-off the season at Bonelli Park in San Dimas, California and then move to Fontana, California. Both races are part of U.S.A. Cycling’s Pro Cross-Country Tour. The third U.S. Cup event is in June in Santa Ynez, California.
In 2010, the three U.S. Cup races were in California, Colorado and Virginia. Kelli Emmett (Giant Factory Racing) was the overall women’s champ. Sho-Air/Specialized rider Max Plaxton was the men’s winner.
The US Cup Triple Crown includes three disciplines at each of the three events — cross-country, Super D, and short-track.
Also returning for its third year is the Kenda Cup West Series presented by Specialized. This series is California-based with a focus on regional/local pros and amateur riders. For racers outside California there are Kenda Cup Qualifiers. These races will act as regional qualifiers, and will allow riders nationwide to attend the finals at the end of the year.
Finally, the Specialized Fall Invitational will be combined with the California State MTB Championships.
