Williams accepts suspension

Masters racer Kenny Williams has accepted a two-year suspension after testing positive for an anabolic agent at this summer’s masters national championships, the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency announced Thursday.

Williams submitted a urine sample at the national championships on August 21, which later showed evidence of a prohibited substance. Williams has admitted the violation and accepted a two-year period of ineligibility, beginning September 21, 2009.

As a result of the doping violation, Williams has been disqualified from all competitive results achieved on and subsequent to July 27, 2009, the date upon which he admits using the prohibited anabolic agent, including all results achieved at the masters national championships in August 2009, and including forfeiture of any medals, points, and prizes.
